For the single stage pump and first stage pump of multistage series the expeller shaft sealing assembly is normally fitted when the positive pressure of inlet is larger 10% than that of outlet.
Expeller type sealing assembly has the advantages of not requiring flushing water,no diluting pulp,good sealing result and so on.
The centrifugal seal consists of expelling vanes on the back of impeller and expeller which rotates in unison with the impeller located in a separate chamber behind the impeller.The expeller acts as a turbine to reduce the pressure of the slurry attempting to escape around the back of impeller.The expeller forms a pressure ring within the expeller and prevents the slurry from passing into the secondary seal area.
